Nienke has specific expertise in collaborative contracting models for complex construction and renovation projects. In such projects, she drafts the procurement documents and contracts and guides the procurement procedures.
Examples of projects in which Nienke has been (or is) involved include the reinforcement of the Markermeer dikes for the Hollands Noorderkwartier Water Authority, the Kornwerderzand lock expansion (as part of the Afsluitdijk project), the renovation of the Dom Tower, the renovation of Lelylaan railway station and various procurements within the Amsterdam Road Tunnels Programme, such as the new Amsterdam Traffic Control Centre, the framework agreement for technical advisory services for road tunnels and the renovation of the IJ Tunnel.
In addition, Nienke has a strong affinity with, and many years of experience in, the procurement of care services within the social domain (youth care and social support) and the application of fair tariffs.
Since 2019, she has been a member of the Corporate Tender Board of Rijkswaterstaat, which advises on the procurement procedures and contract models for the largest construction projects in the Netherlands.
Nienke has been recognised by The Legal 500 as a Leading Individual Construction Netherlands in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
